Isn’t it amazing how truth<\/span><\/strong> attracts falsehood\u00a0<\/strong>and how enemies of <\/span><\/span>truth<\/strong><\/span> will even manufacture a falsehood<\/strong><\/span> as their weak attempt to battle truth<\/strong><\/span>?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Jesus pointed to the source of such falsification<\/strong><\/span> when He said that Satan was “a liar<\/strong><\/span> and the father of lies<\/strong><\/span>” (John 8:44). Yes, Satan was and is the archenemy of divine truth<\/strong><\/span>. Indeed, Satan used every possible falsehood<\/strong><\/span> and slander\u00a0against Jesus,\u00a0who, as He said, is \u00a0“the way, the truth<\/strong><\/span>, and the life” (John 14:6). Long before Jesus, Solomon confirmed that\u00a0“An evildoer listens to wicked lips;\u00a0a\u00a0liar<\/strong><\/span> pays attention to a destructive tongue” (Proverbs 17:4). So it remains true to this very day. When someone speaks truth<\/strong><\/span>, you can bank on it that a liar<\/strong><\/span> will arise to speak against it–even if he has to make up his own “facts” and twist what the truth-sayer<\/strong><\/span> actually said.\u00a0The liar’s<\/strong><\/span> purpose is destruction and his tongue and pen are dedicated to destruction, even by means of false accusations<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

A very\u00a0recent example of twisting another’s words and then creating a slanderous lie<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0was brought to my attention today. It\u00a0evokes a terrible disappointment. No, I’m not talking about\u00a0all the mud-slinging taking place in the American political scene. Instead, I’m speaking about an\u00a0example of slander, of twisting the truth<\/strong><\/span>, among so-called evangelicals. A blog entitled “Theology for the Church” posted a false accusation<\/strong><\/span> against Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis today–the day after Resurrection Sunday! The writer claims that “Ken Ham Embraces Evolution<\/a>.” Anyone who knows anything at all about Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis will recognize the blatant falsehood<\/strong><\/span> immediately. The writer appeals to\u00a0“Reimagining Ark Animals<\/a>” by Tim Chaffey and Michael Belknap\u00a0published in AiG’s Answer<\/em>\u00a011, no. 1 (January-March 2016): 56-62.<\/p>\n

Reading the article in the\u00a0Answers<\/em> magazine and the “Theology for the Church” blog, note the following:<\/p>\n
